The owners of this of this traditional home needed a new roof, and had two layers of roofing in place. They also wanted a more gracious entry, new steps to the front door and an entry portico. The existing home design was plain, and had the potential to become more interesting and welcoming.

Since there were already two layers of roof shingles on this home, they had to be removed. A new Reverse Gable was installed to highlight the front entry and enhanced front facade. Flashings were replaced everywhere on the roof.

The existing yellow siding was aluminum, and had reached the end of it's life. The bump out around the front door was constructed to add interest to the front facade and expand the foyer. The new front interest area was enhanced with cedar-style vinyl siding. A dramatic new color was chosen for the entire home. The new corners and crisp white trim make the rich new color pop. Vinyl replacement windows, with some windows expanded to paired double-hung style in the Dining Room and Master Bedroom, were also in crisp white.

The new front entry was constructed by removing the existing porch with it's three deteriorated brick-edge steps. A new porch was constructed with four steps up to the front entry door, and a level walk-in into the foyer. The portico was constucted to give a welcoming entry. It has a bead-board style ceiling to reinforce the traditional look of the portico, posts and railings.

• New siding in Pacific Blue for the entire home, with CertainTeed® Monogram® Double 4" clapboard on the home and CertainTeed® Cedar Impressions® Double 7" Perfection Shakes on the bumpout.
• Traditional white vinyl corners were added to highlight the architecture of the home.
• New Fypon® window cross-heads were added to first floor windows and the new window in the front facade.
• New gutter and leader system carries through the 'white-trim' appearance
