COMPLETE MAKEOVER - Project Description:
This home was a 1960's two story Tudor style home in Red Bank, NJ. It had a distinctive style and the owners wanted a new open and bright look.
The owners request was to change the dark and tired Tudor look to a Classic Early 20th Century Cottage style home. Using the owners input, a design inspiration home photo from the homeowner and listening to the homeowner's preferences our design team proposed the home highlighted here.
To complete this project it was necessary to
- remove the exterior surface finish of the house,
- remove and replace all windows,
- eliminate the stone porch floor and
- blend the new porch roof to balance the home and provide the Cottage Style result.
The result is such a significant change that it's hard to believe that the before and after photos are of the same home.
Changes include:
- Replacement of windows with LowE/Argon Silverline 8500 Double Hung windows
- Front siding is a combination of James Hardie Hardiplank®, HardiPanels® and AZEK Trimboards®
- Stone porch decking was removed and replaced with AZEK ProCell® decking
- The open porch roof is supported by 10 inch Round Permacast Columns by HB&G
- The new stone wall surface on the porch is Coronado® cultured stone in Minnesota Fieldstone color and style
- All soffits are CertainTeed Invisivent
- Finally, all front elevation trim is completed with AZEK Trimboards®
This makeover resulted in a new open and airy looking home with a welcoming front entry. Our team listened to the owners requests and preferences, and implement a stylish result that is pleasing to the eye.
