Gutters & Trim Replacement - Project Description:
In this area of coastal New Jersey, we expect over 45 inches of rain per year in a typical year - and some of it comes in drenching rains during Nor'easters. On this home, with it's 8,000 square feet of roof, this translates into hundreds of gallons of water per hour that have to be captured and safely transported away from this home and its foundation.
So, replacing the gutters & leaders on this home required an oversize solution.
When All County Exteriors undertook a complete exterior renovation of this stately, historic home a principal objective was maintaining the architectural detail that keeps this home distinctive.
Siding: The entire home was resided in a soft sage color - with Triple lap vinyl siding in Sage on the first floor, matching cedar-shake look siding on the second and higher floors, and geniune cedar on the round tower.
Architectural Trim: Keeping the appearance of the home we added or maintained details for its historic appearance.
- Soffits were replaced with CertainTeed Bead board vented soffits - the appearance of traditional bead board with no maintenance and full ventilation to keep the new roof looking good for years.
- New Azek Trimboards® were added around the windows and doors; after their initial painting, they require no annual maintenance. Or, if you prefer, they can remain unpainted and still look crisp and white for years to come.
Gutters & Leaders: New oversize gutters & leaders in scale with the home were added.
