Deck Replacement and Railing System
Project Description:
The owners of this home wanted to update their deck and install a new railing system . The result is a new and crisp look for their home.
Project Included:
- The first step, with this two level deck, was to remove the existing decking material and inspect the underlying deck structure.
- We examined the deck structure prior to contract and, as expected, it was determined to be solid. Therefore, the project began immediately with the installation of the new decking planks
- The decking material is TimberTech® Earthwood Plank with VertiGrain® surface in Tropical Walnut
- This composite decking material provides a long-lasting and low-maintenance deck
- The deck planks were installed using CONCEALoc®, TimberTech's stainless steel hidden fasteners. The result is a clean and smooth finish
- The railings are from the ELITE Railings Systems line of products. These railing provide Quality, Strength and Maintenance Free Performance
- The railings are the Whitman I design, with New England style post caps
- The second level deck columns are now vinyl clad
- The stairs to the lower deck have new stringers and the stair treads are TimberTech® deck planks
- The front of the deck understructure is now enclosed in diagonal vinyl lattice.
